    Welcome to the first Pro-bis.com newsletter which aims to keep you updated on what Pro-bis.com is doing and how it can help the property industry deal with sales and business information in an effective and cost efficient manner.

A wake up call to the property industry!

Pro-bis.com recently completed a survey of UK and international property developers and real estate agents. It was discovered that 70 per cent felt that their agents’ time selling could be improved by more than 20 per cent. With a startling 30 per cent of respondents saying they felt that selling could be improved by up to 50 per cent.

66 per cent of those surveyed still use telephone, email or post to follow-up leads rather than relying on their customer relationship system to directly distribute leads around to the sales team, 50 percent check whether staff are effectively following up sales leads in meetings rather than using tracking and reporting systems and a staggering 40 per cent still use paper files or Excel spreadsheets to keep track of reservation dates.

These results should be treated as a wake up call to the property industry.

This is an indication that the industry is not working to its full potential and using out- dated and inefficient methods of managing sales leads. The results suggest that property developers and real estate agents could improve their time selling by between 20-50 per cent which represents a significant increase in potential income. This is a figure that cannot be ignored.

Managing sales leads effectively is not a new phenomenon, but the increasingly dynamic nature of international property is and as a result, developers and real estate agents are not using a CRM solutions best suited to their needs.

This survey highlights the need for developers and real estate agents to be better prepared in the way they deal with leads which can only improve the timely service they offer their customers and ultimately boost profits.

Before he emigrated to the UK, he delivered a number of successful large-scale projects in his native South Africa. He chaired the technical committee responsible for the development of the National Standard technical guidelines for Bookmakers in South Africa, a legislative process designed to obtain a Bookmakers license.

He was also nominated by the National Gambling Board of South Africa to assist the project team in designing the national framework for the regulators of gaming and was a member of various national and international gaming and other IT related bodies.

Jameel is skilled and certified in information security (CISM) and project management (ITIL).
